Read her story on her journey to becoming a Rainbow girl.
I started my Rainbow Journey in 1961 in Illawarra St George Assembly at Hurstville. I was installed as Worthy Adviser in Miranda Assembly in 1965 and Grand Worthy Advisor in 1967. I traveled to Queensland, Victoria & South Australia during my term which then got me wanting to travel to the USA to visit Grand Representatives I had been corresponding with as well as a visit to McAlester Oklahoma, the birth place of Rainbow.
In 1970 I traveled with Sister Annette Sheldon and we used Greyhound buses to travel to attend Grand Assemblies in Texas, New Mexico, and Iowa. and Supreme Sessions in Cleveland, Ohio.
I married in 1971 and moved to Adelaide where I became Mother Advisor of Friendship Assembly and have spent 50 years meeting new friends and making more wonderful memories.
In 2009 along with 3 of my Rainbow Girls, it was off to the Philippines where we once again met members of the Masonic Family who welcomed us. We have returned every 2 years other than during COVID.
7 trips to the USA and 7 trips to the Philippines have enriched my life and my Rainbow Journey continues even though I am now 74.
Once a Rainbow …….always a Rainbow
